Welcome to Greco-Serial, a podcast about the podcast serial, featuring Matt Jackson, Manuel Luminas, Katia Delgado, and Hijar Himp? Cacigas. Each week, we'll look at the last episode of the podcast serial and talk about it and other random things that come to mind. I think so.

There's no three updates that you should have. I was in my week and then I was listening and I was saying to anyone and have a woman here. Yeah. I thought that dropped out of that to Juan saying that I not wrote a letter that somebody else was supposed to type up and send.

Jawa, any other before? I don't know. They never just, I like to use recording it from a closet. You should use recording that from both records.

There's Manuel. This is my breakfast. Manuel did not go see Mary today. No.

I'm sorry. Yeah, that's Rob. Where's Mary? Mary's at Starbucks.

Oh, right. I haven't heard about this. I haven't heard about this. Let's talk.

Let's talk. Let's talk. I don't like it one day. Yes.

Let's talk. It should be emerging. We should be emerging. We should be emerging.

You did. It's late splits. Oh, I've been a dad yet. I've been a dad at heart for a long time.

Well, that's okay. It's funny you have a book in the print. It's funny today. I've nothing to talk about.

The dad of this floor now. So that's her. She's made it through the tough part. Yeah.

First of all, the first of all, the first, it's like the first 48. I don't know. I don't think that's right. Good morning.

I brought you some delicious cereal. She asked. Don't get jealous. I got to do with that.

And I asked a girl and said, hey, is it okay? Is somebody here? No, she didn't know I was talking about. She was a little bit of a transconner or something.

I don't know if she was a transconner. Yeah, she's been in a transconner with anything. Well, she likes to be the first one. She said that.

She said that. So she turned four the other day. The same thing my son did when he turned. I think it was when he turned four ish was that he.

It's child proof. I bet we had whiskey in it. No, it's just a regular cup. When he turned, I think, four, he essentially said, you know what?

I'm done with Thomas the train. Give her it. And so we got rid of all of it. Train tracks, train tables, Craigslist, Alte d'Or.

And so that was neat. So she said that the other day. I forget where we were, but she said that she's done the frozen. So no frozen gifts for her.

Your kids have like a very, very early life crisis. It's like, what? I'm dead. I'm dead.

Yeah. It was the rear one. When I do eat with my life. The weird one was when the boy, I think he was four.

I can't remember how he was, but he'd gone to the restroom. Okay. So we'll keep this as easy as possible. But he'd gone to the restroom to do a number two.

They call it America. Number Dose in Mexico, I think they call it. But he goes there to do that. Which he up until this point would require assistance.

High, high, genetically. Yeah. But he goes there to do that. And he's there for the loss.

And we know that's what he's doing. And he's waiting on the falls to take. There you go. Then he comes walking out.

And we're like, whoa, what's it do? Did you do the thing? And he's like, yeah. Did you clean up the thing?

And he's like, yeah. I'm four years old. Like he just decided that that's how it is. And now it's time for him to do it.

It's a very crowded. But he's still won't ride a bike. I don't know what to do with this. So.

And he's seven on? Yeah. We're going on. He's got one.

He's got this cool scooter thing that he rides. It's not one of the zip scooters, but this like three wheel thing that the back wheels on it. Rotate independently. And so when he hits on the brakes, he'll do 360 spins and stuff.

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. So he likes to race that thing right now. So he's not really into the bike. Our training wheels still thing.

Mm hmm. We're. I don't know. Kitch is bypass those.

Actually, our fashion course model has arrived. That's really late. That's a place. But what will be weird is that in this instance.

We don't know what anyone wears. It's audio. I mean, we know what anyone wears. We'll talk about jumps to her orange.

If you like. We can even out their hair indoors. His beard is quite fierce. We can dream about their haircuts and if they match those in Manneville County.

And also in the update, Sarah did mention that Asia was quite fashionable. Yeah. Rocket ideals. Right red lipstick.

That bothers me though because every time something happened, I like to blame it on Asia McLean because I feel like a lot of this is her phone. No, I agree with that. All of this. All right.

Great. Let's start. Does that well? Does it just explain why Katia's not here?

I don't know where she's at. She's not here. Oh, yeah. She's just not here.

Okay. She's at a training thing or something. And I don't know if she's being trained or she's the trainer. I know.

But I'm sure we'll find out next week. There are a lot of us who are supposed to be trained right now. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Bailey is giving her training to be here. I'm going to go in. Special guest status.

Are there any bubbles? Are there enough to go around? They are. They are not.

You have to make a request in the mace. And I have to request from the girl that she is allowed. He's got to take it up the chain. I'm one semicolor away from the wait.

There you go. Keep it up. Keep it up. He's doing great.

Pretty good. That's all. I'm going to have to do that for you. I think that's the first time I have them.

I can't look at you. In his room? Yes. Even knock off the hood.

You got a back seat on the bottom of the aisle? No. That's the worst. Wait.

You stick it. You stick it in the front. I'm not going to talk. I am going to try all of them.

Most of it is cardboard. But the crunchberries are delivered. Whatever knock off crunchberries. I'm going to go.

Yeah. I went through a phase of college. That's what it is. It's not going to go.

No. It's not going to go. Oh. I don't know.

Just backs it up on the aisle. Most of it is really terrible. It looks dusty. Yes.

It looks dusty. It looks dusty. It does. It does.

It is. I saw that they were putting scraps cardboard powered cardboard in something the other day. Something that everyone needs. I can't remember what it was.

Is one of those things I'm going to say. This is one of those things I'm going to say. This thing you're eating probably right now will kill you in five seconds. We'll tell you at ten.

I can't remember what it was. I can't remember what it was. I don't eat anything. But it's something that has cardboard in it.

So cardboard is like the least of all the evils of things that we don't know about that are food. Yeah. Well, I think there are limitations to it. There are limitations to it.

I heard some of the blood parts and rat poop and stuff. I take cardboard. But I can't even know about the candy. I think it's good word.

Go strombones. I haven't kind of heard the hall of strong feelings about those things. You might know how to put that next week. Oh, we won't.

I've only done this before. Add non. Add non. Add non.

Add non. Add non. It is not. Add non-state.

You have it. The automated. You have it. He says that.

I've done. He says that. From what's the directional. We were there.

Let's talk about it. Since we haven't done a podcast about season one. I think that we can discuss quickly in our thoughts with season one at the time. I think that you can discuss quickly in our thoughts on season one at the time.

and then fast forward to what we know now about this hearing to throw out the original case due to defense attorneys and competence and see if he's going to get another trial. So starting with Hijar, do you think he did it? No. You don't think he did it?

All right. Do you think he was arrested? Because he was Muslim, which is family. Listen, I'm asking, I'm asking, I'm asking everyone, but I'll start with you so we can get out on table.

His family believes his mother's been quoted as saying that he was arrested simply because he was young and probably a Muslim kid in the area. No, I don't think I think he was arrested because the fact that he was dating him, I think they used to date or not for their simple conclusion to get to again, simplicity. It's like if she was there, he would, they were together, we should arrest him. Same story as Stephen Avery.

She was a human Avery. She goes dead. Stephen Avery is the guy. Also, it feels like it's simple.

It's this is interesting because in the Stephen Avery situation, they were like, oh, her ex boyfriend, totally not guilty. Like in fact, he's helping and he's so nice. And in this situation, that's who they went after first. Yeah.

Yeah. Don't see it. Well, on this, you know, that might go a little hard. Do we not want to see even Avery's girlfriend once?

No, it's not. No, it's not. Well, Doc, on the single one at the time, listening to season one. So, this is the one at the time, we'll be sending to season one.

Let's see if your memories go to the stage with like, apparently, it's my job. Yeah. So I think it used to make this great part. I don't think he's going to think.

However, there is potential doubt that people have done it. That's why I think their evidence is so, each is interesting when they bring that to the table to decide. But, you know, the clear part of the time is like, is this the right day, you know, because it's the right time. But if he was getting the library, that's a much of the things.

So remember at the time, they did all the timing of how long it takes, you want to be out of the school at the right time, the masses are there. So it was really difficult to make it out on time. Even he was surprised at the time. I remember that was interesting to me when he said, oh, I'm surprised.

You guys made it on time. Like, I thought I would take much longer to get out of there. So it looks like you could have really surprised at that that she actually was able to get out of there. I remember that was really interesting.

They got in front of the car and drove it. Yeah. They were no investigative freaks. They ended up.

They ended up. Because I think it's just like self-control towers. We should be able to mock ourselves up self-control towers. We should be able to mock ourselves up self-control.

Cask. So you want to be part of the FBI special? Especially. This is a similar special.

Why are you looking at me? Why are you looking at me? I'm just waiting on you. I don't know.

I don't know. The three pebbles are getting to my head. Nice. I think this is how I feel all day about it.

That's what I thought I was going to say. That's what I thought. That's what I thought I thought. Maly, you're going to start out.

I'm going to go for another one. I do not think that he did it. Let me tell you why. First of all, you can piece together all the pieces of puzzle where it's like, it is possible that this happen.

But ultimately, it's kind of like Jay's word versus his. Jay has changed his story so much. He's like, the prosecutor's little pet in his case. I'm like, he won't get any time.

He won't get any time. He won't get any time. For whatever reason. It's all very shady.

that he said, is that the thing? He said versus he said. And it's just like, OK, just because it's possible, it really doesn't mean that there's a strong out case. And then you go back 16 years later, 17 years later.

And it's like, oh, actually everything that we knew about the technology is wrong. We're throwing out these testimonials. People were tracking what they're saying. We didn't follow up on the witnesses.

Christina Gutierrez was falling off the wagon. It's just, I mean, it's crazy. Maybe he did it, but I'm like, it's ear muffs below me. Wow.

Nice. What kind of other cases are affected with testimonials or evidence that's using? Is it going to bring you any? And I feel like there was another work around there.

Could they not find another, like, some technology thing to fix the cell phone tower issue? Like, I know I'm being very thin. Want to be directly tracked by your phone? Is that what you're asking for?

No. OK. So this is where we get into that technology line. I'm on a red apple guy.

I'm on a red apple guy. Yeah. Good, that's what I'm doing. OK, but that's what I'm doing now.

Oh, you're a muffs. Just say you're a muffs. OK, you're a muffs. Look at the papers.

It's like the papers have to be read. Are you OK? Yeah. I'm sorry.

I thought that was a genius. He's a nice christian there. He's needed at Kellogg's flakes. But it's true.

Next time you get her the bag. Let's go get her the bag. You're a muffs. She's in real stuff.

Yeah. Very, very, very good point, right? Because many cases are prosecuted because somebody declared against somebody else, right? I think many cases are misleaved.

Most cases are not in that. So somebody is actually getting less sentenced because I think in Texas there is this woman who they killed, like, in Texas and they kill the Josh and they kill two or more people. Oh, like on the movie. So she's the first person that we should watch.

What was that called? Bernie? Oh, yeah. We can do it first.

Yeah. We do that. We're going to Bernie's now. Yeah, we're going to do that too.

That's awesome. Right, yeah. So you can edit all of the tile with these movies. And then there's also a dance that is really good at.

And we can never see that. That's another story. We forgot the video about that stuff. Yeah.

I'm not going to drop names, but someone else. We should watch Bernie. We should watch Bernie. We should have some effect or?

No. No effect. No effect. No effect.

No effect. Anyway, so yes. Cell phone towers. He said she said phone towers.

I don't know. I was wondering about the towers, you know, because they only gave me the studies. He's circumstantial evidence for the phone, right? Where was the phone?

Did he claim by the time he had the phone at all times? All right, well did he say that? He said he didn't get it back to that evening. Yeah, that was a good time.

He had the same phone at all. And of course, they're now. So if you're fast, actually your final verdict of the season where finale? I'm not listening to another.

Why are you being here? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

But at the time, do you remember thinking that the very? I don't know. I remember thinking I'm confused. I was through every week going this week.

You did it the next week. Oh, wait. No, you do it. It was an emotional roller coaster.

In this authentic way. I just feel like she is a very important piece in this puzzle and she's not doing anything about it. She's walking in like a queen, and her high heels. It had 16 years to rehearse.

Every single thing. She's not doing anything. Sorry. I'm bad.

She said she's had 16 years to rehearse this thing. And so, of course, she didn't nail it every time to not get closer because she's gone down every avenue. She's probably had guidance. But what's her motivation?

She had to do it a lot of times. She's actually talked to the runner. She said no first. She wasn't talking to Sarah.

Sarah, I don't get some time to open again. Once she got it all rehearsed, you got it all locked in. Patsy would be here like complaining about your memories, new and business, just go to whatever. So go ahead and go.

Did they ever bring in a VD Wong type character to psycho analyze everyone? I don't know what words you're saying. Fine, I'm talking about VD Wong. VD Wong is like, well, they have some syndrome.

Da, da, da, da. No, it's like the psychiatrist. No, VD Wong is his name in real life. I was on the show.

That makes sense. Yeah. I see it's been, but it's been a bit earlier. I'm so happy that he's got it done.

Anyway, do they come after someone to come in that's like, well, this person shows mental characteristics of, well, they did have someone in the radio. Yeah, I think that's questionable. I think that's everybody. I know.

So if you would show up as a producer. I think you know, bring someone in later maybe. I guess it's a question. So because I had the whole deal with Adnan was, he seemed very lucky to be able to talk about the fact that he was in jail.

And I didn't know if that was because over time you just become numb or if he didn't care about you. I think that's probably the case. So could I get a psychologist to tell me? Is that he at the time of taking the series in one, he's been there 10 years.

Yeah. So at that point you've kind of just been like, well, this is it. I'm a stick by my story. But he says that people could use to believe me or not.

Right. But I don't know that bringing someone in to analyze them would give you that. So that's all I'm saying. I'm just saying someone to be like, oh, he's showing characteristics of their care.

Okay. They had so I probably listened to this most recently, like six weeks ago. So my memory is perfect. Oh, okay.

So yeah, I remember everything you tell. But they did bring someone to speak about murderers and psychocopathers, sociopath in general. And what I got from it is that there is no direct correlation. There are plenty of sociopaths who are not murderers and plenty of murderers who are not sociopaths.

So it's like, we talked about all of these characteristics, but it wasn't like it was like Adnan could be a sociopath or not. He could have heard her or not. Like those things are necessary. Yeah.

That's not one of the places. Did you get that perfect charismatic? Yeah. You're not that look like a mirror.

It doesn't happen. Yeah. Okay. It doesn't happen that way.

I guess since we can't rely on self on towers, I was going to rely on a speculative source. I'm not aware. I do that one. It's true.

But the only thing is that they tried to infutate agents and say that the mirror was right. They're written in purple because that's now we're there. So this update has been quite fascinating to me because the current situation before a judge is not to say whether Adnan did it or didn't do it. It's to say that he was not offered effective defense at the time of his original trial because of a number of reasons.

Primarily, they're trying to show the defense is trying to show that Steve Gutierrez got rest of his soul. I don't know if he's done. I think. But they're trying to say that she was failing towards the end of her career was dealing with some physical or mental.

She sounded. Maybe she had cancer. Maybe she did. I don't remember.

But she sounded very erroutive. Yeah. She sounded like crazy person. That's going to be the crazy person.

They're trying to say that she was incompetent at that time and they're trying to use the fact that she did not use Asia as a witness and that she did not even go out and research that thing. So basically they find out that she did talk to Asia and she looked down that path and Asia's testimony wasn't solid, which is what the state is trying to say during this thing. Then that was a decision strategically on her part on Christina Gutierrez's part. She was not incompetent.

She was smart player. She was doing what she was supposed to be doing. No need to retrial this guy did or the conviction states. The other side of course is that we say, well, asian, and now this entire 80 person list of alibis that they only talked to for is just another symptom of what she was going through and not going after these alibis contributes to her being incompetent defense and he should get a trial that originally should be thrown out.

If the original one is thrown out, it's going to be very difficult to bring back a second one because everyone knows the story now. It's going to be hard to find yours. But the state evidence was still a while. It's not totally unbiased.

Where? Ooh, yeah. Can you not be a director? Can you get the jury from Man of the Water?

Could we get matching haircuts? Oh, yes. Do you think all those haircuts are used to have a super cut? I was like, do you want the bulk cut?

Do you want the death? Do they have the man of the walk and it's just like sonic to head from? If not, I think it was in place. To probably put those in into place.

Sorry. So based on updates, based on turn, do you think that a new trial is an order? Do you think that Christina Gutierrez did what she was supposed to do? I just read something quickly online that she had MS that was more complicated due to her diabetes and that by being in her life, which is wrong to don't breathe.

She could not even remember her son's name. So I don't know how far along that different times would you say, like, you know, like, the fact that it's just getting worse and worse. Interiorating. Just like when did it start and when does her mind and memories start to not be there and into the trial into what she's supposed to do?

Again, if we had a BD warm here and to tell us. That's the TV remember. Okay. Just saying.

I feel like there could have been more medical side-by. What? Yeah. The last two I can ever do.

I like this. I like where this is going. I don't know. We should probably write a show.

What if Bob Durst killed her? He could have been in the area. It's very close to New York. That's right.

Yeah. He did. You know what I mean? Nice.

I'll follow that theory. I figured it out. I'm going to take it out. He did two weeks of two.

Yeah. All right. He's a traveler. Because what they didn't show is that he wrote a letter.

Yeah. That's right. He's got it with it. Oh.

Every time you heard of the park, they didn't want to just think of Lincoln park in Lincoln. It was like, I did. It was a band. So I just thought of Lincoln parking.

I did. Yeah. I thought of the people. You guys are well traveled.

I'm well listened. I thought Lincoln parking was a band that comes to mind. It's in your hands with the tons. I saw the people.

I saw the people. Anyway, that is mine. That's our music break from Ash 4's circle. Thank you.

It's all the case. I think that at some point in the next couple of weeks when this judge decides what the situation is and we hear back from Sarah We will have another update. I'm curious if you was gonna make it a break it What's the one thing that's what's the one thing that's gonna convince the judge that there needs to be retrial? It's too long.

It's not much of anyone. It's too long. Oh, is he? Oh, I did it.

So because he converted Oh We're turned for the show This campaign seems Alright, so I was All right, so next week back to listening to And then we have a couple of things that we should do for the next bi-week. Is do we go to Disney murders? I think that's a good start. Yeah, we're going to do the same orders.

Look back at all the murders in the history of Disney films and discuss those. People have been murdered in Disney. I know that was my reaction. I feel like Swar was pretty murdered.

Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. That's a move on. I said it right.

I thought you meant the munching that hung himself in. Oh, yeah. Not a Disney movie. I know.

I know we were talking about interesting things. But it wasn't like a munching though. It was actually like a munching. It was cool.

It was a peacock. Right. Yeah. Yeah.

We don't know that. That's by your character. It was scary. Yeah, that was scary.

Are you singing? I guess. I'm not. I'm not.

I'm not. It was spinning. That's like that's like that's like that's wrong. So many good love isn't happening.

Especially when you get that expectorating. That's a good one. Expectorating. Expectorating.

That's what it's saying. That's what is on the music next bottle. Yes. Expectorating.

He eats six dozen eggs for breakfast. Is that the breakfast of two of his? It could be. That's and three of those.

Nope. He can't keep it.
