02. A Crisis of Truth Continues. Plus, Dogma Isn't a Dirty Word, Fr. Mike Scanlan, and a Surprise Announcement with Dr. Ralph Martin

Pete Burak and Dr. Ralph Martin of Renewal Ministries discuss the origins of his famous and controversial talks then book, A Crisis of Church, with a particular emphasis on the power and authority of God's word. Ralph also describes his initial conversion (18:00), his friendship with Fr. Mike Scanlan and surprises Pete with an exciting announcement (29:00). Then Pete unpacks one of his favorite verses, Philippians 4:4-7.  It's Episode #2...at least we did more than one.   Important Dei Verbum quote: Therefore, since everything asserted by the inspired authors or sacred writers must be held to be asserted by the Holy Spirit, it follows that the books of Scripture must be acknowledged as teaching solidly, faithfully and without error that truth which God wanted put into sacred writings (5) for the sake of salvation. Therefore "all Scripture is divinely inspired and has its use for teaching the truth and refuting error, for reformation of manners and discipline in right living, so that the man who belongs to God may be efficient and equipped for good work of every kind" (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
