02. Living Out of Alignment: My Story of Navigating Life Prior to Discovering My Purpose

from It's Happening For Me · host Ellisa McCoy

Welcome beauty! In this episode I share all about my life prior to discovering personal development work and having my spiritual awakening. From moving cross country in 8th grade to experiencing my parent's divorce at 16 I felt lost. I used alcohol as a crutch for social anxiety, having an undefined emotional solar plexus and no idea how to deal with the emotions and feelings I was experiencing, alcohol became the center of my world.  I discuss how it took me ten years to graduate college because I was so disconnected from my intuition, and how I met my dream partner Jorge, had my spiritual awakening, and excelled in my career only to find myself unhappy.  I decided I wanted to become a coach and a leader in the personal growth + development/spirituality space! I hope you find this episode relatable in some sense, possibly a bit entertaining, and inspiring to keep going on your purpose journey! Let's gooo!
