Even with perfect support, perfect rhythm, perfect sleep, perfect nutrition, perfect lifestyle – there is a finite amount of stress that the body can positively adapt to. If you’re military – you know what I mean. Those become the first thing you need to check – check them all. 1. Check performance.Even at an advanced level, you should be improving your top priorities by 5% per year. If you’re injured more than one minor niggle per macrocycle, that’s a sign that something’s off. 2. Check lifestyle. Sleep, sun, hydration, hygiene, stress. 3. Check fuel. Enough. 4. Check libido. Intercourse once every 3-6 days. If less frequent, vitality red flag. 5. Check blood biomarkers. Cortisol high. T low. Magnesium depleted. Vitamin D depleted. 6. Check body composition. Common to carry more body fat when highly stressed. Hyperleanness can also be a sign of low vitality.
