#020: Turtles on Trial (S03E02 1987)

TMNT Shellcast interrogates "Turtles on Trial" from season 3 episode 2 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the episode, the turtles are accused of being a menace to society by talk show host Clayton Kellerman. Despite efforts to defend themselves, Kellerman continues to badmouth them and incite violence against them. Meanwhile, Krang plans to use a powerful robot to destroy them on national TV, but the turtles ultimately defeat the robot and save the day, only to be disappointed by Kellerman's continued negative portrayal of them. Chris explodes all the eardrums with the crunchiest Pizza Time! ever (00:01:41) before debating the Best/Worst field trips with Jon and Andrew (00:35:57). The guys recite the most important Turtlisms (01:40:28) to date and despite Chris being on Krang's payroll, Shredder reclaims the top spot in the Villain Power Ranking (01:43:02). Twitter Poll Results (01:56:35) give us the first-ever back-to-back (01:58:03) Pizza Time! wheel spins (01:56:29) before Andrew, Jon, and Chris introduce a new segment (02:02:29). Jon introduces the actual new segment, a season-long series of wagers called Shellcast Sportsbook (02:08:18). And in a tribute to Jon's impending birthday, the guys share their best answers to this week's Twitter Poll Question: "What is the best birthday cake?" (02:09:22).
