022 - Diet vs. Lifestyle

from Challenges Build Champions with Matt Scoletti · host Matt Scoletti

Matt doesn’t like the word “diet” much.  To him, it sounds like a negative word that feels more like a restriction than anything.  Often you hear people say “oh, no, I can’t eat that, I’m on a diet.” They say it almost like this sad thing they HAVE TO do.  Instead of diet, Matt likes to coach people to think about it as a “healthy lifestyle.” That way, it feels more positive and it also feels like a change you are making for the LONG TERM and not just some 30 or 90 day change.  Matt and his wife Steph have adopted a “plant-based” lifestyle over the last year and they are loving it. The research Matt has done and books he has read has shown him that there are so many positives to being plant-based. However, Matt encourages you to change your lifestyle SLOWLY so that way it lasts.  Matt often hears people who want to “lost 30 pounds in 30 days” or “drop 40 pounds in a few months.” That’s great they want to lose weight! But, instead of being extreme with it, which typically can backfire, try to change your lifestyle slowly so the changes stay FOREVER!  Matt is ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA.  IG/FB/Twitter/TikTok: @MattScoletti.  Please Subscribe to Matt’s YouTube channel as well!  For speaking engagements, email Matt at [email protected] .
