Jay provides testing for silencers to provide a reliable, unbiased standard for the consumer, which has ruffled some feathers in the industry. He talks about some behind the scenes with why he does what he does, where his expertise comes from, how his work provides both positive and negative interactions with various parts of the gun industry, how he is able to fund his research and where that money comes from, if he’ll ever expand to testing other gear (body armor etc.) and how he hopes the silencer market will only improve as consumer knowledge of what makes for a quality suppressor.
