Then do as much volume as you can tolerate while: 1. your body holds up2. your lifestyle supports it3. you retain most of your strength and lean body mass – this is almost never an issue due to the amount of squatting, bending, pushing and pulling Most of the elite athletes I know have a fast twitch physiology, evidenced by their muscle mass and/or athletic background. Then they layer a shit ton of volume onto that. And become somewhat enduring. That’s the game.
