023: Indie Film Team Talks: Last Call
from The Working Director · host Jenn Page
Intuitive Filmmaker Podcast and Blackmagic Collective Present Film Team Talks: Last Call "Last Call" follows a suicidal alcoholic on the anniversary of his son’s death. When he attempts to call a crisis hotline, a misdial connects him with a single mother working as the night janitor at a local community college. The split screen feature showcases both characters in real-time as they navigate a life-changing conversation. The film was shot with two camera crews in different parts of the city at the same time. The actors were acting over the phone with one another in order to create the film in a true single take. The film's score was recorded live in a single take also to preserve the vision of an authentic single take experience. Come learn what it took to pull off such a feat! Film Team: Gavin Michael Booth, Writer / Director Daved Wilkins, Writer / Lead Sarah Booth, Lead Seth Wessel-Estes , Cinematographer Hosted by Jenn Page Thank you to our sponsors Blackmagic Design and Sigma!
