#023: Jonah Kest on dropping out of college to teach yoga, how the practice can change your life, and the reality of being an Instagram influencer

from Find The Others · host Joshua Dean Church

Jonah Kest is a world traveler seeking global connection through yoga, pranayama + meditation.  Impermanence and compassion are just a couple of elements that Jonah seamlessly weaves through each practice he shares.  Of the Ashtanga lineage, Jonah teaches that the body is a vehicle to ultimately liberate the mind.  Him and his family have played a massive role in making yoga accessible in the western world through the creation of what is known as “power yoga.”  Jonah has been doing yoga since he was 3 and teaching since he was 16 years old. I promise that you’ll think of yoga completely different after hearing his perspective. We had a great conversation around some of these powerful practices, his recent partnership with Nike, his passion for global adventures, the changing tide in social media and why he thinks Instagram is actually on the outs.    For now, you can follow him on Instagram @kestyoga I hope you enjoy this convo with Jonah Kest!
