026: 5 Tips to Become More Disciplined This Year!

from Do Life Big · host Kathi Reuter

Have you ever struggled with discipline and the consistency that comes along with it?  If you are like most of my students, you might think to yourself "How do I get MORE disciplined"?  First off - it's 100% normal to wonder this. We all have times where we struggle with staying disciplined, and get "off-track" on working towards our goals. In this episode I'm giving you a "behind the scenes" peak into my own struggle with staying disciplined on my personal health & fitness journey, and some insight into why that happened. I also share my top 5 tips for cultivating your self discipline, and give examples and details on each: Getting clear on the goal you want to achieve and why it is important you are disciplined toward that goal Creating new habits that will "stick" Building self-discipline for that habit The importance of small, "baby steps" each day Giving yourself grace for things not going perfect (... because they won't!) I can't wait to hear what you think! If you've started working towards something then fallen off the wagon, then this episode was made for YOU! Also, wanted to send a BIG THANKS to empthythedishwasher for her review on iTunes. She says:  Thank You! I’ve just started listening to Kathi’s show, even though I’ve been following her on social for a long time now. Something about right now and what’s going on with my own goals told me to listen. I love that I can listen when I’m on my way to pick up the kids, or taking the dog for a walk. A lot of what she is saying makes complete sense, we just didn’t realize we needed someone to spell it out for us! 😆 I’m spending a lot of time focusing on my goals and getting out of my comfort zone, and this podcast is the perfect little (short, easily digestible) cherry on top of the work that I’m already doing. Her words reiterate and help drive home ideas I’m working on daily.
