026 - POTA-TV #13: The Liberator (with Sam Stovold and Kevin Young)

For The Liberator, the penultimate episode of the live action Apes TV show, hosts Geoff and Jack are joined by Jack's Reopening the Wormhole cohosts Sam Stovold and Kevin Young!  To celebrate this timeless tale of slavery, oppression, chemical warfare, genocide and Pete's zingers, the boys talk turkey about how to kill turkeys (just in time for Thanksgiving!), the horrors of "night vision", jokes that thankfully don't fall flat in the wake of the midterm elections, Metal Gear Solid, whether our astronauts had a chance to see Star Wars or not, the magic of Galen blowing out a candle, and the different relationship between continuity and fandom in the 70s and today.  Not to mention the controversy surrounding this unaired episode and the thematic richness within, brought to us by Brun, Master of Borak, as compelling a villain as the Apes show has given us.  Give it a listen, it's a real gas!
