With art, just like everything, comes the elements of the beautiful and not so beautiful, the redeemed and the fractured, the joyous and depressive, the moral and immoral, the hopeful and the hopeless, the secular and the Biblical. Music is so grafted deeply into our culture we cannot escape it. If we cannot (and aren’t called to) escape culture, how do Jesus followers live within the depravity of culture, while still proclaiming Christ?
