Emily is also the creator of the Facebook Group called "Green Avocado Gang!" where she shares ideas, recipes, and encouragement for her followers as they develop healthy eating habits. Emily shares her personal journey of how she uses nutrient-dense foods to help address and solve the health issues she was facing and in turn, she wanted to use her knowledge to help others find solutions too. This podcast explores the importance of building the relationship and conversation between the farmer and the consumer and understanding how food is impacting human health. Emily discusses what she’s looking for as she sources her food, and later, Monte goes deeper into those ideas and what they look like in today’s farming operation. There’s important work to be done to build soil health and growing nutrient-dense food because what we grow has a tremendous impact on people’s health and lives.
