What is the difference between setting boundaries and setting up walls?

Why does it matter?

Is it possible to break down walls while still setting healthy boundaries for yourself?

Listen to find out!

Boundaries help to define what's most important to you and then protect it from being trampled over by others. They help to safeguard your time, energy, and emotions from being controlled, manipulated, or abused by others.

Contrary to what some of the boundary "pushers" in my life would have me believe, boundaries are not selfish, insensitive, or unloving. Quite the opposite, boundaries are at the heart of every healthy and loving relationship!

ASK YOURSELF: Is this "boundary" created out of fear or love? Is this "boundary" GIVING me energy or TAKING it?

Boundaries are CRUCIAL for protecting your time, energy and feelings from being overpowered, manipulated, or taken advantage of by others. Walls are saying things like " I only focus on positivity: when in reality this is just complete avoidance. Setting up walls are ultimately ENCLOSING YOU in solitary confinement -- this is NOT the end goal
