03. Kelly Pike | Caring for a Loved One Going Through Cancer

Kelly Pike has been a caregiver for over 6 years. Her husband is a stage 4 colon cancer survivor and she helped care for both of her parents in the last years of their lives while they battled mixed dementia and bladder cancer. And Executive Assistant for over 40 years, Kelly’s ability to organize and prioritize was the key to keeping things calm and as stress free as possible for those she was caring for. She not only understands the day-to-day challenges that come with caring for a loved one, but also what it means to be the healthy one in the relationship and the guilt & isolation that comes with that. Even in the most dire of circumstances, Kelly can attest that a strong faith and positive attitude are the most important things a caregiver can possess.
