School gets treated like the main stage for learning, but kids are learning long before the first bell and long after the last one. We dig into why I don’t believe learning only happens in school, and how unschooling and child-led learning can work when you trust what children are already doing naturally every day.We talk about John Holt’s research and the unschooling movement, plus a simple idea that changes everything: children learn through their environment, relationships, and real life experiences, not just memorizing facts at a desk. That’s why things like writing letters backwards or mixing up letters can be part of normal development, and why patience often works better than constant correction.From there, we get practical about learning styles. Not every child learns the same way, and a single system can’t fit the kid who wants step-by-step instructions, the kid who learns by tinkering, and the neurodivergent child who needs a different pace or approach.
