#031 - When Email Campaigns Don't Work

from Live Full Work Fun Podcast

In the pursuit of accomplishing more, we should remember to take a step back and to not complicate things. In this week's podcast, I give you an example of how a friend of mine was wanting to do a create an extensive email and social campaign to fill the remaining seats of his seminar. He had high expectations of what the results would be, and I was afraid that he'd be sorely disappointed. Without an already active email campaign or social media strategy nurturing the relationship of his contacts, I didn't think a quick email "blast" or a couple of social posts on an account he rarely posts to would be effective. To reach his goal of filling his seminar, I suggested something different. I suggested something with a more personal touch. Listen to this week's episode to hear the entire story and my take on how email campaigns and social media works in your ongoing marketing methods. I'll give you a little secret…it's not always about selling. If you aren't actively using email or social in your current marketing plan, why not? Is it because you are too busy? Then it's time to delegate. The Scrivener Solutions team of virtual assistants help you stay connected with your clients and prospects. Maybe you aren't ready to delegate and want to do it yourself. But the issue is, you don't really know how to put it all together. You know you should be doing email, social media, and even blogging, but you have questions about how to do it. You don't know where to turn to ask things like… What email service should I use? How to set it an account to do email campaigns? What the heck am I going to write about?
