Yes, I know what you think of me. Never shut up. Never shut up. Never shut up.

It's not warm when she's away. Welcome to Never Shut Up. I'm your host Rose Crass. Today is March 30th, 2026.

And we are talking about Tori's magnificent cover of Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers. And of course, the song was mashed up with the Miranda Lambert song, and I think it's such a beautiful pairing. I'm not a fan of the Miranda Lambert song, great whatever. I mean, the way Tori does it, beautiful of course.

But I love this Bill Withers song. I actually really kind of like Bill Withers in general. Maybe I should deep dive. Bill Withers with my free time, you know.

But Bill Withers is really speaking about how our vitality can be tied to somebody else's light. It's not warm when she's away. Ain't No Sunshine when she's gone, and she's always gone far too long. And look, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know.

If you haven't ever listened to the original song, you totally should, because he says I know forever. And it would have been kind of awesome to hear Tori do that besides the point. In any case, it's time to take back your vitality. Where in your life are you giving away your vitality?

Are you withering it away under the false sunlight of fluorescent lights in an office? Are you giving too much of yourself to people who don't care? I mean, why are you giving 100% of yourself to somebody who won't even show up for you? Right?

That's my theme for 2026, by the way. I'm not giving 100% for people who aren't going to show up 100% for me. There is a mudra for this and other mudra. You could actually do this one while you were driving because you lose your thumb a little bit.

But Chris control, I could do it on my drive to teach yoga in the other town because I don't need a thumb to hold the car steady with Chris control. It's a story. I'm going to draw. So we're not going to do the mudra because it's a little longer and more involved for me to teach you.

But there's a mantra that speaks about the sun as feminine as back rather than a masculine aspect. It's not story. I digress. So you're going to fold your middle finger in towards your palm and then you place your thumb on top and we're holding it in place and breathing with a story.

So as you soften your breath here, notice where you feel this, the breath in your body, where you feel the energy in your body. Now for those of you that do have yoga practice, you could take this into a sun breath. Sun breath is simply sitting, inhaling the arms up overhead, exhaling, bringing the arms down back to the floor or back to your sides. And the breath gets slower if you're using the movement.

Use the movement to slow down the breath and the breath to slow down the movement. And as we hold this mudra that really awakens our sense of vitality, our self-contained sense of vitality rather than the vitality that's tied to somebody else. I mean, that's it could be codependency and look, I understand codependency. I'm not going to tell you I'm free from codependency.

But being able to stand on our own two feet is extremely important. Being able to shine our own light is extremely important. And right now, more than ever, the world needs your vitality. We need your light to shine.

That's part of what Tori's talking about when she says outcreate the darkness. Darkness is heavy and coalesced. Light is dispersed. So fortifying your vitality every day with Surya mudra can make a difference of how you show up in the world and your energy levels as you show up in the world.

And with that, I thank you for joining me and Tori for a little mental yoga. Remember, five minutes a day is so much better than 60 minutes once a week. See you tomorrow. Strange, but we just wanted to be together.

I'm talking about a little bit of a question. They don't really know what to do, though. So it's been interesting with fellas. It's already been intercepted.
