惨澹的长天板着脸望下瞧着，小院里两株亭亭的绿树掩映着。一阵西风吹来，他们的叶子都颤起来了，仿佛怕摇落的样子——西风是报信的？呀！飒飒地又下雨了，叶子被打得格外颤了。雨里一个人立着，不声不响的，也在颤着；好久，他才张开两臂低声说，“秋天来了！”
