from Becoming UnDone · host Toby Brooks

Dr. Julie Partridge is a well-respected Professor and Sport Psychologist at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Growing up in rural Kansas, her earliest dreams were to become a classically trained professional musician as a violinist. With her playing days done after two years of college, she felt drawn toward a career as a sport psychologist, ultimately earning both a masters and doctoral degree in the field. Today, she serves as a graduate program director and professor of sport and exercise psychology, but in 2019, she unexpectedly found herself in an emergency room with a diagnosis of a pulmonary embolism that could have cost her her life.
