#036 Allyn Rose | on THRIVING After Having a Double Mastectomy

With a family history of breast cancer, Allyn Rose, Advocate, Beauty Queen, Professional Speaker and on-air host, chose to break the family chain of cancer by undergoing a preventive double mastectomy as a preventative measure, after losing her Mother.    After taking control of her life, Alynn founded 'The Previvor', non-profit empowering women worldwide by educating them on their options and raising breast cancer awareness.   As a result of her advocacy efforts, not only has she been awarded the 21st Annual Congress on Women’s Health’s “Women’s Health Advocacy Award” and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 Breast Cancer Summit for her continued dedication to educating women, she's been featured as the first model to have a mastectomy in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition and created #SelfExamGram, a social media movement encouraging women to conduct monthly self-breast exams.
