THE PATH OF THE JUST: CHANGING YOUR STORY Minister: Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Okronipa Executive Summary The Christian walk is designed for continual advancement, described in Scripture as moving from glory to glory and shining brighter unto the perfect day. A true "change of story" is not merely an escape from hardship; it is a progressive transition from good to better, and from better to greater dimensions of divine grace. As children of light, believers are not meant to struggle under darkness, witchcraft, or generational limitations. Although the enemy attempts to establish dates, cycles, and decrees for destruction, believers are equipped with covenant authority. Through fasting and prayer, spiritual decrees are enforced, demonic deadlines are overturned, and believers secure divine intervention to turn every potential tragedy into a testimony of preservation and victory. Scriptural Anchors Proverbs 4:18: "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." Luke 10:19: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Detailed Sermon Notes 1. The Nature and Reality of a "Change of Story" Universal Need: Every believer is a candidate for a continuous upgrade, whether transitioning out of adversity or ascending into higher realms of glory. No Spiritual Plateau: There is no ultimate ceiling in God. The Christian walk requires unending spiritual and practical progress. The Radiance of Righteousness: According to Proverbs 4:18, the believer's trajectory is like the morning sun, gaining strength and brilliance until full midday. Dominion of Light: Light does not negotiate with darkness. When believers walk consciously in their identity as light, confusion, fear, and oppression naturally dissipate. 2. Identifying and Overturning Satanic Traps Demonic Deadlines: The enemy often projects specific dates, seasonal patterns, and oppressive cycles aimed at aborting destinies, ministries, and marriages. The Hazard of Spiritual Sloth: Carelessness, passive living, and spiritual ignorance grant the enemy access to execute destructive agendas. Revoking Evil Decrees: Just as the fasting and prayers of Esther and Mordecai reversed Haman’s genocidal decree, focused spiritual diligence dismantles every satanic projection. 3. The Spiritual Mechanism of Fasting and Prayer Enforcing Covenant Reality: Fasting and prayer do not persuade God to act; they align the believer to enforce the finished work and established promises of Christ. Breaking Forecasted Crises: Dedicated, prolonged seasons of seeking God neutralise impending attacks and usher in divine upgrades, authority, and notable miracles. The Construction Principle: Fasting and prayer can feel strenuous and messy—much like excavating a site and pouring concrete—yet they lay the immovable foundation for a glorious life. 4. Absolute Dominion in Christ Comprehensive Authority: Luke 10:19 guarantees absolute dominion over serpents, scorpions, and all demonic operations, backed by the assurance that nothing shall by any means hurt the believer. Freedom from Intimidation: Occult shrines, ancestral altars, and demonic networks lose their relevance the moment a believer activates their God-given authority. Declarations & Prophetic Prayers Faith Declarations "My path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. There is no darkness in my way!" "I walk in the fullness of Christ's authority over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall by any means hurt me, my family, or my assignment." "My story is not on a decline; I move continuously from glory to glory and from victory to victory!" Targeted Prayer Points Overturning Satanic Decrees: Cancel every evil deadline, ancestral pattern, and demonic projection assigned against your health, marriage, business, and destiny. Grace for Spiritual Diligence: Pray for a fresh baptism of intercession and consistency in fasting to enforce covenant victories. Divine Acceleration: Ask the Lord to turn every lingering delay into a sudden, undeniable change of story that brings glory to His name. ant to struggle under the oppression of darkness, witchcraft, or generational limitations. However, the enemy often marks dates and seasons to orchestrate destruction, marital breakdown, or ministry collapse. Fasting and prayer serve as the spiritual mechanism to enforce the finished promises of God, break demonic decrees, and secure divine intervention. Drawing from personal testimony and biblical patterns (such as Esther and Israel), spiritual diligence turns potential tragedy into a testimony of victory, lifting, and preservation.
