#037 Do You Obsess About What You've Said or Done Way Too Much?

from Finding Joy in the Hard · host Suzanne Andora Barron

Do you obsess about things you've said or done, afraid of what other people will think? We think we said or did something dumb that others are still talking about or thinking about days later.  But they're not because they likely worrying about the dumb thing they said or did. There is something called the spotlight effect. It means that  we feel like we have the spotlight on us all the time or a significant amount of the time. We think others are paying attention to us way more than they actually are. In this episode, I give two ways to help change that thinking and ease that discomfort in the body and mind. The healing tip is Jin Shin Jyutsu, a 3000 year old healing practice in which we use our breath and placement of our hands on specific locations on our body to balance mind, body and spirit, ease pain and discomfort, support ourselves emotionally and so much more. The information presented on this podcast is for educational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose or prescribe for any medical or psychological condition, nor to prevent, treat, mitigate or cure any such conditions.
