037 - First TNA Impact

On June 4, 2004, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling made its national TV debut with the very first episode of TNA Impact on Fox Sports Net — and we’re breaking it all down on this debut episode of Nostalgia Mania! Join host Josh Elliott as he dives into this wild and chaotic first broadcast from Universal Studios. We’re talking about the debut of the six-sided ring, a young blonde Eric Young, the Canadian Destroyer from Petey Williams, and the breakout athleticism of AJ Styles. You'll get match-by-match breakdowns, unforgettable moments like Shark Boy getting hugged by Popeye, Dusty Rhodes confronting Jeff Jarrett, and a main event that showed off the X-Division in all its glory. Plus, we find out who Hector Garza is related to, why Abyss looked terrifying in his early days, and how America’s Most Wanted captured tag team gold. Whether you watched it live or missed it entirely, this episode will transport you back to the dawn of TNA's Impact era. Nostalgia. Chaos. Six sides of mayhem. Let’s relive it all. 📺 “It’s not about weight limits. It’s about NO limits.”
