037 - Holistic Home Holidays: Cyclical Living

from Modern Homemaking I Mindset and Methods for Happier, Healthier Homes

In this episode, I share how we can prepare our heads, hearts and homes for the holiday season with the Holistic Home Holidays - a free, 30-day challenge that offers teachings, resources, and support to create the holidays we truly desire with more connection, calm, and clarity.   Each week in the month of November, I am going live in The Common Nest Collective to focus on one of the Five Foundations of Home in the context of the holidays. The episode features a live recording from the fifth week of the challenge. Here’s a recap: This week’s focus is Cyclical Living. Listen to how to learn practical ways we can lean into the natural rhythms and cycles of our bodies, the moon, the seasons of the year and season of life.  The body’s natural rhythms include a monthly cycle for women, which can guide how we manage energy and tasks. Aligning home tasks and holiday plans with these phases can enhance success, fulfillment, and joy. The  moon's phases provide a framework for intention setting and action. Each season—spring, summer, fall, and winter—carries unique energy that aligns with natural rhythms. For the holidays, autumn is a time for organizing and decorating, while winter encourages rest, reflection, and creating cozy spaces. The importance of recognizing and honoring your current season of life as you plan and prepare for the holidays. This helps set realistic expectations, maintain boundaries, and embrace the unique gifts and challenges of each stage. Holistic Home Holidays is a free, month-long challenge throughout November designed to prepare for the holidays by focusing on the Five Foundations of Home. Why Join?
