038 R.S. Pickman (Visual Artist, Hallward House)

Pick is the main contributor to the visual arts website Hallward House.  He is a lifelong visual artist that explores the darker side of art while still injecting playfulness and humor along the way. He shares that at a young age he did not fit into the mainstream.  Pick unpacks how that affected him and how he ultimately used that fact to discover a community that he truly connects with.  We discuss the process of creation and he offers up some great advice to those who may also find themselves on the outside.  And last note I’m grateful for Pick making the time for this podcast after being up working for 36 hours.
