039. The Truth About Resilience
from The Burnout to Bliss Podcast · host Claudine Holt
Episode 039: Most people think resilience is about being tough and rigid but it's actually about being flexible and adaptable. When you are experiencing chronic workplace stress, your nervous system spends a lot of time in hyperarousal (fight or flight) or hypoarousal (freeze). Resilience is not so much about being tough and hard on the outside. It’s not about resisting the ups and downs of life and career. It's actually about leaning into it--being flexible and flowing with whatever is happening.
