Napoleon war nur wenige Stunden in Günzburg und "vergaß", Fuhrlöhne in Höhe von 423 Gulden zu bezahlen. Als am 4. April 1989 Staatspräsident François Mitterrand und Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl in der Stadt zu einem Gipfeltreffen zusammenkamen, erinnerte der damalige Oberbürgermeister an die offene Rechnung.
