While, in Matthew 14, the disciples’ eyes are opening to the truth of who Jesus, in Matthew 15, the scribes and Pharisees are still struggling because of their spiritual blindness. Like the religious leaders of that time, even people nowadays have their blind spots: (1) asking the wrong questions, (2) trusting in un-scriptural traditions, and (3) underestimating the depravity of the human heart.Questions1) Why kind of cultural traditions or contemporary trends have you observed in churches that seem to be counter to the Word of God? What makes these tempting?2) Reflect on this quote by C.S.
