04 - Dust to Digital and Lonnie Holley

from The Cylinder · host The Cylinder

This year's Hambidge Auction at the Goat Farm Arts Center was curated by Lance and April Ledbetter of Atlanta record label Dust to Digital. The Grammy winning label specializes in rereleasing rare, vintage music, or as they say, "high-quality, cultural artifacts." Lonnie Holley is the only living musician to be released on Dust to Digital. Starting in the 80s as a found object sculpture artist, Lonnie makes incredible but often difficult art. His music follows the same vein, not easily approached but ultimately rewarding. We spoke with Lonnie, Lance and Matt Arnett (art curator and owner Grocery on Home). Thanks to Lance, Lonnie and Matt! More info about Lonnie and Dust to Digital can be found at http://www.dust-digital.com. Lonnie plays this coming Tuesday, July 8th at Eddie's Attic in Decatur.
