040 - Ground Zero: In Your House
from Talking Taker Hosted by Alex Doriot
It's an episode covering a number of historic origins as we hit the appropriately named Ground Zero! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their journey through every Undertaker PPV match as they cover the chaotic first ever meeting between The Phenom and The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels at the September 1997 In Your House. Along the way we talk about the origins of D-Generation X and The Rock and how The Undertaker triggered both, an earth-shattering chairshot, The Dead Man's first blood, Rick Rude's insurance commercial, horrible fan behavior, Friday Night's Main Event, Taker and Mankind teaming up, Bret Hart's Pearl Jam connection, and the ever-looming presence of Paul Bearer and Kane. Plus Alex and Travis reminisce about their "Ground Zero" moment as they tell the story of their friendship beginning right around the time of this PPV. Download, enjoy, and Taker Easy!
