Irma sat down with Marisela Morales who spend her 10th birthday in a hospital, recovering from several cardiac arrests and a metabolic crisis which caused her body to completely shut down! Marisela suffers from a metabolic condition called LCHAD. Her body is unable to break down fatty foods and turn it into energy. When a heart condition surfaced at age 9 - Marisela found herself in the hospital for 89 days! Her family never gave up. It was the touch of her sister that brought her back, and subsequently, every family members touch that brought her strength to open her eyes. After years of recovery, she is a thriving young girl working on her purpose - Marisela's Miracle Foundation. She has created birthday boxes for kids who are in hospitals around Southern California - bringing joy to kids of all ages who are unfortunately spending a birthday in a hospital, and to remind them that Miracles Do Happen.
