040: Ready Player One
from Beauty and the Bitch
Austin, Texas' very own Ernest Cline has given us a sweeping sci-fi/fantasy epic made for every kid from the 80's who LOVES nostalgia (and video games, and movies, and books, and style AND DRAMA). "Ready Player One" was one of Morgan's favorite reads of last year (though it came out several years ago), and is definitely for most any Sci-Fi/Fantasy Lover! It hits all of *our* buttons, so we're a little biased here, but WE LOVE IT. And, to commemorate our love for the book, we have brought another superfan onboard (Allison Jackson!) to talk about all the great things and speculate about how horrible we think the movie will be (spoiler: we're not too sure about it). Dive into our shade (THROWN AT STEVEN SPIELBERG?!), our predictions, our desires anddddddd so much more! Come share in the love BB's, it's good for the soul PLUGS: The Good Place (You should watch it you Messy Bench!) Black Mirror (on Netflix! Mic thought it might be boring, turns out he was hella wrong) The Wise Man's Fear (OMG SO GOOD. But, Patrick Rothfuss, don't make me an enemy. YOU. WILL. REGRET. IT.)
