Yes, I know what you think of me, you never shut up, never shut up, never shut up. I tried on your thoughts and your opinions. Welcome to Never Shut Up, I'm your host Rose Crass, and today is April 29th, 2026, and we are here to play with Strange. Tori talks about Scarlet and the Guy, whoever, blowing ice smoke back and forth.
In questioning the beliefs that we've been taught like Democracy, this is where Scarlet is kind of discovering that Well Democracy isn't what it has been made out to be. And I think, well, we're probably all experiencing that, and I'm sure we'll know more about that from In Times of Dragons. Maybe, I don't know, I've heard the album, I got to hear it, and it is so good, well worth the hype. So there's two things I want to bring in here.
The first before we get to our practice is that the Yoko Sutra's tell us that we can believe somebody when that person has an impeccable history of telling the truth. So lies are pervasive. What do we do with this information? How do we process this information?
There's a sense that we need to protect, not a sense. We do need to protect ourselves against these lies. I mean, one person lies and 30% of people will fall for that lie and go with that person. And as that person continues to lie and their lies continue to be shown and proven, they still go with that.
So we would have to assume that in many of the, in a number of the supporters at least, there's a willful disregard for the truth because it doesn't matter because they're getting what they want. And for the rest of us, for those of us that have not got there yet, look, if you're listening to this podcast, I doubt that you don't know that who I'm talking about or that there aren't lies involved. But the case is someone who has an impeccable history of telling the truth, that's who we believe. That's who we go with.
And the rest, well, this is where we need to protect ourselves and protect our energy so that we can strengthen our discernment. So the practice we're going to use for this is kashiyapa mudra. Kashiapa mudra. So taking your hands, you're going to make a light fist and then lift the index and middle finger and tuck the thumb under.
It's sort of like got your thumb, but your thumb is between the middle finger and the ring finger. And it's sticking out there and then let the hands rest on your thighs, the shoulders resting down as you breathe here. This mudra is grounding. But as we breathe with this mudra, we're also inviting that protective energy shield around us.
Because lies and half-truths and distractions have an energy about them, a pervasive energy about them. Lies are all about distracting us from the truth and whittling away our trust in people that we know we can trust. Institutions that we know we can trust, like even ourselves. So as we invite this protective energy to surround us, we strengthen our own discernment, our own wisdom pathways, so that yes, we can see and embrace the truth.
If it feels off, it is off. So use this mudra whenever you need it daily. I would suggest using it daily because this can be one of your five-minute-a-day practices. And with that, I thank you for joining me and Tori for a little mental yoga.
Remember your five minutes day is so much better than 60 minutes once a week. See you tomorrow. Love you. Bye.
