043: Three Ways To Overcome Perfectionism! 👌

from Do Life Big · host Kathi Reuter

If you're trying to go from point A to point B, but you're sabotaging your success because of perfectionism, and if it's literally stopping you from starting and beginning to take action toward whatever it is that you want to go for, then this week's Do Life Big Podcast episode is for you. Perfectionism is a huge topic that many people struggle with, and it can destroy our personal lives and productivity. But we need to know that perfectionism is not attainable because perfection does not exist. It is merely an illusion and a mask that people use to hide their fears or insecurities: Fear of being judged Making mistakes Not being Accepted holds us back from taking action. And waiting for the perfect moment only leads to missed opportunities and unfulfilled dreams. So, here are a few key things to overcome perfectionism: Progress Over Perfection. Instead of striving for perfection, focus on being better and making progress each day. Set achievable goals and take small steps towards them consistently. Celebrate the completion of tasks rather than obsessing over minor imperfections. Remember that something is always better than nothing, and it's through action that you gain experience, confidence, and momentum. Be real. People appreciate genuine and real experiences rather than a picture-perfect facade. Embrace your uniqueness and share your journey, even if it's messy and imperfect. Others can relate to imperfections and flaws because they make you relatable and human. You will attract like-minded individuals who appreciate your genuine nature by embracing your flaws and being true to yourself. Don't be afraid of failure. Remember that mistakes and failures are a part of the learning process. Successful people have experienced failures, made mistakes, and learned from them. It's through these experiences that they have grown and achieved success. Embrace the opportunity to learn from your mistakes, and don't let the fear of failure hold you back. Let go of the need for perfection and start taking imperfect action toward your goals and Do Life Big!
