from REDACTED Culture Cast · host REDACTED

Talk Back to MeWe often hear about the battlefield of ideas, and that the Academy is where people may contend with and present their beliefs, theories, and arguments without fear of censorship or retaliation. Whether or not that was ever a reality may never be known, but what is certain, is that the Ivory Tower has not been operating by this standard for some time. One example of where this goes wrong is when the ideas of people who, isolated from skin in the game, begin making the rules for those who have to live them, such as the Rules of Engagement. Another example is when it becomes the opinion of the academics, that soldiers are trained to be automatons, built by the institution to dehumanize their opponents. Scott Chapmen entered Ranger Battalion just before September 11th, 2001. More than 20 years later, after a great variety of experiences, he has begun writing about what he saw in those experiences, and in his own self. Scott Chapman is an Author for The Havok Journal. His works can be found at www.scottchapmanauthor.comFollow him on Instagram at @scottchapman.advSupport the REDACTED Culture Cast at www.redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc--Up your helmet camo game: pickup the REDACTED x AXL Squid Scrim Kit at axladvanced.comSupport the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc
