Losing a relationship is a lot easier than gaining one. This session is not only about how to lose a client, but it can easily apply to losing a friend, or some other important relationship. But don’t worry, I am going to show you how to avoid these mistakes so that it doesn’t happen to you. Session Summary * Step to Success: Just as steps are necessary in a dance, there are steps to success in your life and business. In this segment, we discuss a step in the form of an app, a book, or a concept that will help you move forward. Today’s step is taking a short 5 minutes and do nothing. Let your mind wander. You’ll be more productive if you allow yourself to take some breaks. Check out this article from CNN on the surprising benefits of doing nothing. * Dancer’s Dialect: Fresh vs Wack in Breakdancing * What’s Wack in Dance and Other Things 1. Being more concerned with how you look in dance class as opposed to how hard you’re working. 2. Being a drain on other people : Someone who I will call Mortimer always has an agenda when he calls and feels entitled to monopolize your time and creative resources. Don’t be a Mortimer. 3. Constantly interrupting other people. * What’s fresh to me in dance and other things1. Cross cipro generic online training (my latest obsession is Hot Yoga) Do’s and Don’ts of Cross Training 2. Having meaningful thought provoking conversations Article on Meaningful Conversations 3. Tempura Green Beans at Veggie Grill–If you want a substitute for french fries, this is it. * Freestyle Flow: My friend Grace showed me “Grace in Action” when we got rear ended by an elderly gentleman while out and about in Newport Beach, CA (MANY years ago). * Feature Presentation: Here are 5 Ways To Lose Clients * 1. Don’t follow up with them. Solution: Use a project management system or CRM (a customer relationship management tool). 2. Insult what they do. One of the managers at the gym I was checking out discounted that dance wasn’t really training. Hmmmm. I could’ve told him a thing or two but I didn’t want to waste my breath. Solution: Acknowledge their achievements. 3. Mumble your sentences. Don’t communicate clearly. Solution: Communicate clearly. 4. You don’t express gratitude toward them. Solution: Verbally thank them or send them a card or an email. 5. You complain to them and/or make excuses. Solution: Positive communication.
