045 Dock Helps End Data Fraud with Nick Lambert

from Forward Thinking Experts · host Sher Downing, PhD

When is the last time you heard about data fraud? Living in 2023, it probably wasn't long ago that you read an article or heard a news piece on the topic. We welcome you to listen in to this week's EdTech Speaks episode as we interview Nick Lambert. Nick has been working with technology companies his entire career. Starting out with IBM and Sanmina-SCI, Nick moved into the decentralized space in 2011 with Scottish start-up MaidSafe and was their Chief Operating Officer for seven years. Nick is now the CEO of Dock Labs AG, the company behind the Dock network who has created Dock Certs, a platform that enables organizations to create and manage decentralized identities and verifiable credentials. We live in a world where anything can be faked. In a digital world, it's harder and harder to know what information is true and what isn't. Our most important data is now digital, and it's increasingly easier for people to manipulate and fake it to their advantage. This has led to widespread mistrust between people and puts companies at risk of serious liabilities. Nick says, "To make it worse, traditional verification processes are broken. Verifying the authenticity of data is costly, time-consuming and inefficient. It's a huge burden to put on companies that need to consume data. Manual data verification is not suited for today's fast-moving world."Enter...DOCK. When using Dock, organizations can end data fraud and reduce verification costs. Dock's Verifiable Credentials Platform makes data fraud-proof and allows stakeholders to verify its authenticity in seconds – making expensive, time-consuming, and manual verification processes disappear. Specifically, organizations in the education sector can now prevent diploma and certificate fraud, and reduce the time and cost of verifying these documents. Diplomas can now be fraud-proof and instantly verifiable.Learn more and connect with Nick and his work here: Nick's Twitter: https://twitter.com/N1ckLambertNick's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nick-lambert-a760811b/https://dock.iohttps://twitter.com/docknetworkhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/docknetwork Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast.
