#045: The Grinch
from Filmbound · host Mark Pfeiffer and Paul Markoff
A grumpy, green hater of holiday cheer plots to steal Christmas from Whoville in a new 3D computer-animated version of Dr. Seuss' THE GRINCH. Benedict Cumberbatch voices the villain whose heart is two sizes too small. In recommendations, Mark Pfeiffer spotlights COLD WATER (L'EAU FROIDE), Olivier Assayas' snapshot of a sixteen-year-old boyfriend and girlfriend restless to take control of their lives in early 1970s France. Paul Markoff selects director Clint Eastwood's HEREAFTER, which connects three stories about people with mystical experiences regarding death and the afterlife.
