049: Dodging the Pickle

from That Taxi Podcast · host Thomas and Taxi David

Thomas brings back memories of "hair bands" or "butt rockers" with his intro song.  https://youtu.be/uK0AmgDGpPo Taxi David and Thomas recall an incident that had a colleague and them ducking from a potential fare. The fellas debate the recent tragedy of the Titanic submersible and discuss at length the equipment used and whether or not its too soon to joke about the tragedy. It is revealed that Bill Gates is our newest sponsor (...but not really). THE DISPATCHER's first call is for 'Nightmare Passengers". Thomas reveals a recent ride where he had to deal with a puker and a lost husband for nearly 45 minutes. David has a disoriented passenger that he ends up taking back to the starting point. THE DISPATCHER's second call is for  "Unusual Happenstances". David talks about a passenger who insisted she had been very intimate with him, but it just wasn't true. Thomas reveals a heartbreaking tale where the opposite is true --a girlfriend from three decades ago doesn't remember their year long relationship, Thomas spins a yarn about a group of 50 year-olds who flash him after a ride, and David has a relatable story about a regular passenger who ended up flashing both our heroes at different times. Make sure you send sensitive ears out of range before Thomas tells his joke.
