After the death of her son Matthew, who lived with serious mental illness, she founded Saddleback's Hope for Mental Health Initiative and the Hope for Mental Health Community to support individuals and families.   In 2019, she started BREATHE, a ministry for parents of children with serious mental illness, offering respite retreats for moms, online retreats and prayer calls for moms and dads, and webinars with leading mental health professionals.   In 2024, Kay launched Hope for Brighter Tomorrows, a nonprofit supporting families affected by mental health challenges and equipping churches to assist them. She served on the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention board for 8 years and is active in mental health efforts in Orange County, CA. Kay authored several books, and has three children – Amy, Josh, and Matthew, and five grandchildren.   Links from this episode: www.kaywarren.com https://x.com/kaywarren1?lang=en https://www.instagram.com/kaywarren75/?hl=en   Learn more about Shared Humanity: https://sph.yale.edu/sharedhumanity    Follow the Yale School of Public Health:  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yalesph/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/YaleSPH/  X: https://twitter.com/YaleSPH  TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@yalesph  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/school/yalesph/  Threads: https://www.threads.net/@yalesph    #SharedHumanity #YaleSPH

Patti Talks Too Much Patti Hi. I'm Patti and it's been said - many times - that I talk too much. I'm a teacher, author, nature lover and for ten years I owned a coffeehouse cafe where my faith in the goodness of humans was restored every day. This podcast highlights the awesomeness of humanity - er...outside the warmongers, globalists, tyrants and politicians in general. You know, the rest of us weird, quirky and sometimes hilarious humans. We'll talk woo, probe mysteries and leave you thinking about something more interesting or entertaining or uplifting than your grocery list, or boss or that oil change your car needs. I talk too much because I can't help my Gemini moon and Leo Rising nature. I do a podcast because it's cheaper, funnier and more productive than therapy.  Love Your Life, Tell Your Story by Kathleen Marriott Kathleen Marriott Everyone has their own unique story to tell.Love your life, Tell Your Story is a platform that encourages and celebrates individuals who dare to live the life of their dreams. It's a space to find inspiration from others who have taken chances and pursued opportunities with courage and conviction.
