050 - Escaping the war in Ukraine to building a business and life in the UK - with Yana Smaglo and Antonia Kinlan

Welcome to The Smash Your Own Ceiling Podcast. Today I'm really excited to be sharing a fantastic conversation that I had with the amazing Yana Smaglo. Yana is a Ukrainian fashion designer of women's clothes and lingerie, and founder of NENYA distribution company. After escaping the war in Ukraine she created a distribution company with the main goal to help Ukrainian designers to sell in the UK market and to pay taxes to support Ukrainian economy.  She also wants to support Ukrainian refugees in the UK for help them find a job, assimilate and pay taxes for the government which so kindly hosted Ukrainians. In this conversation we talk about her escape from Ukraine and her journey over to the UK, and how she created her business to fuel her mission.
