#051 - Tekena

Tekena, an good friend, British-Nigerian, brings the social commentary no one wants to discuss. Starting off hard and real with the discussion on Caitlyn Jenner vs Rachel Dolezal, losing power when you give power to words, the hate of social justice warriors, the deep conflict of African culture in relation to African-American culture and realities of being African in the U.S., the hast in how people get offended, how your world can open up if you open yourself up, and so much more! If you're offended easily, you should listen to this. Listen to the concepts between the lines y'all, and please comment with your thoughts, let's start a discussion. Intro: Desmond Dekker - Take Me Back To Africa Outro: Beach House - Gila Recorded October 4th, 2015 - iTunes - bit.ly/pg4lzx / Soundcloud - bit.ly/1N3lnu4 / Browser - bit.ly/1WeuVYS “Destiny is a feeling you have that you know something about yourself nobody else does. The picture you have in your own mind of what you’re about will come true. It’s a kind of a thing you kind of have to keep to your own self, because it’s a fragile feeling, and you put it out there, then someone will kill it. It’s best to keep that all inside.” — Bob Dylan
