055: Nicole Deese

I'm delighted to introduce you to my friend Nicole Deese. Her new novel All That It Takes was released on April 5, and I have really enjoyed it. During this talk, we chat about her characters and how they were secondary characters that waved their hands for a book of their own. This book is rich with themes like the importance of one person and the lie of hierarchies of callings in the church. She answered questions from readers including advice for new writers and the importance of keeping our eyes on our own page. Then she shared her adoption story and how she surrendered one dream in pursuit of another -- and then God in His grace gave both to her.
