You can have ESP (Expectations of Something Positive) in every situation, even if the situation is less than ideal. In this session of The DancePreneuring Studio, I give you 5 things to help you do this. Session Summary * Step to Success: A step to your success is anything that moves your life and your business forward. Whether it’s an app, a book or an idea, you can apply something today that can help you succeed. Video Speed Controller is a free extension on the Chrome browser that speeds up, slows down, advances and rewinds any HTML5 video with quick shortcuts. For me, I find that I stay more focused and retain better when I’m able to speed up the video. I do this with the podcasts that I listen to, and you’ll find that if you revert back to the normal speed of playing, it seems really slow. * Dancer’s Dialect: The Dancer’s Dialect is the dancer’s language. I share dance terminology and concepts across different genres so you can see the correlations in your life and in your business. It seems like the words humble and warrior don’t go together right? Well, they do and the word for today in the dancer’s dialect is humble warrior. This term is actually used in Yoga, but this stretch is used in different dance classes as part of a warm up. You want to make sure you are warm as with any stretch to get the most out of it and for injury prevention. You are in a lunge position, ideally with your back leg straight and pulled up off the floor, engaging your muscles, and your forearms and elbows are on the floor. In Yoga, it’s described as a pose with surrender and strength. Being a warrior is not always about aggression and force. Strength can still come from moments of stillness. Post Note: I was told this is a humble warrior, when it actually is called a lizard pose. If anyone knows for sure, I would love clarification : ) * Freestyle Flow: I was at another tv show taping as an audience member and I met this woman who was supposedly a screenwriter. I say supposedly because the name she gave me was different from the name she had given when she was called out, so I do give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she didn’t want her real name revealed, however, she told me she was in the process of writing a screenplay. Our conversation started with what she knew about the tv show we were at (of course I had no idea who or what was in it and what it was about) and how she liked it, etc. When I introduced myself to her, she gave me this surprised look, and told me that the main character in her screenplay is named Annett (but with an e at the end). She proceeded to tell me that she only writes when she is inspired. There is probably more to her process than that, but it got me thinking that if we all waited to do things only when we feel inspired, then a lot of things would not get done. I think that inspiration does come out of the blue, but in the doing of day to day consistent order tramadol uk application, inspiration and creativity is also birthed. There are times when we don’t feel like doing certain things, but we know that they are necessary for progression. And some of those times when we least feel like doing, is when we have the biggest breakthroughs. * Feature Presentation: I remember when I was in elementary school, Aliamanu Elementary School in Hawaii and we had those cubbies to put our stuff in. They looked exactly like the ones you see in the IKEA furniture stores. And as the cover, we had to make our name into an acronym on cardstock paper.
