By casting all our cares upon Him, we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God because we acknowledge that He is The Boss, He is The Master, He is Superior as such He will know better how to handle it for us. Taking care of our own problems on our own without submitting to God's Word on the issue is pride. 2. Resist the devil. Jesus didn't just quote Scriptures when the devil tempted Him, He believed those Scriptures.
