Spring of 1803, after the United States acquired the Louisiana Territory, two men set out with a crew of roughly 33 men to see what the country had purchased.  Meriwether Lewis and William Clark would captain a group of hunters, trappers, and would be mountain men on this journey. In the third part of our series on the expedition, Sacagawea has a baby, the Corps fights off hunger and sickness while encountering new native tribes, and push their way further across the country.
