061 | Spies in Jericho (Joshua 2)

Welcome to today's exploration of ancient texts. We're diving into a fascinating story from the Book of Joshua in the Hebrew Bible, specifically chapter 2, which recounts the mission of two Israelite spies sent to the walled city of Jericho. This takes place around the 13th century BCE, as the Israelites were poised to enter Canaan after their forty-year journey through the wilderness following their exodus from Egypt. Jericho was a strategic, fortified city-state, one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world at that time, with archaeological evidence of occupation dating back to around 9000 BCE.Source:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BMa8B5Ex_zHSajPV0WEB99O7O-87b7zV/view?usp=sharing
