In October 2008, Ben was laid off during a corporate redundancy measure and was suddenly faced with no salary, no security, not clear path to the future. Instead of getting another job and continuing in accountancy, he chose to try something different – to make a full-time living from the Internet, live and work the hours he chooses, and live life on his own terms. As a coach and speaker, Ben now shares his experiences in the "Laptop Lifestyle" with others, allowing him to spend more time with his loved ones and exploring different cultures.
